The original designs for the decorations were made by J.-J. Caffieri.
On the model I have mainly used boxwood for the decorations. Boxwood is a hard and close-grained timber and thus ideal for carving and, in addition, it has a fine yellow colour. Where the background is black or very dark I used ebony.
